National Payroll Week was established by the CIPP in 1998 to raise awareness of payroll in the UK.

How does Payroll help the country?

Based on Office for National Statistics figures, the Government receives £249 billion through income tax and national insurance contributions annually.

How does Payroll help employees?

Payroll professionals can benefit businesses through strategic decision-making related to overall reward and remuneration. Through payroll, employees can save money with salary sacrifice and other arrangements improving employee motivation and morale.

Now with auto-enrolment to workplace pensions, employees gain through tax savings and employer contributions towards their retirement.

How can we help?

Keeping on top of payroll, whatever the size of your business, is a challenge. The job is time-consuming and stressful for business owners and managers to get right for their employees and the business.

The legislation governing employee stoppages of tax, National Insurance Contributions and auto-enrolment pensions are regularly changing, as are the rules relating to the National Minimum and Living Wage.

When administering payroll, changes to legislation need to be taken into account. Substantial penalties can be given if errors are made regarding the National Minimum Wage (NMW), National Living Wage (NLW) or making the correct level of contributions to workplace pensions.

It is essential to get payroll correct – you will keep your team happy while staying compliant with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). Whatever the size of your workforce, we’ll deal with all of the processes and paperwork involved in payroll, while you get on with running your business.

Get in touch for advice and see if we can take away some of the stress from your business day. Call the team on 01432 278179 or email us at
